Vehicle Weight Rating Listed on the Placard May Be Incorrect
Some vehicles were assembled with the incorrect vehicle weight capacity printed on the vehicle weight placard. This could lead to vehicle overloading.
As of this writing, Toyota has not released an owner notification schedule. There are no symptoms related to this recall. If don't receive notification in the near future and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
The vehicle weight capacity printed on the load rating placard may be incorrect. This could lead to possible vehicle and tire overloading. Tire overloading can result in tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash. Toyota will mail an updated vehicle weight placard, along with revised owner's manual information to registered owners of affected vehicles.

TOYOTA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 THROUGH 2012 SIENNA VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NUMBER 110, "TIRE SELECTIONS AND RIMS." THESE VEHICLES DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENT FOR DISPLAYING THE CORRECT VEHICLE CAPACITY WEIGHT AS THE RATED LOAD FOR THE COMBINATION OF CARGO AND OCCUPANTS.
INCORRECT INFORMATION ON THE VEHICLE PLACARD MAY LEAD TO TIRE OVERLOADING AND POSSIBLY CAUSE TIRE FAILURE INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
TOYOTA WILL MAIL OUT A CORRECTED PLACARD TO CUSTOMERS ALONG WITH REVISED OWNER MANUAL INFORMATION. THIS SERVICE WILL BE PERFORMED FREE OF CHARGE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT YET PROVIDED A REMEDY PLAN OR AN OWNER NOTIFICATION SCHEDULE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT TOYOTA AT 1-800-331-4331.
