My car has been parked since 10-09 due to all of my brake light sensors were on in the dashboard. I towed it to dealer and they said i need a new batt and alternator and another 4,500.00 worth of repairs. The only problem that I had was the brakes. They claimed my car have leaks all over but I never had any leaks. I dont know what to do besides tow it back home to sit some more

Letting your car sit for a few months is a sure way to kill your battery. As far as the alternator and leaks are concerned you may choose NOT to have those repairs done at this time. My suggestion for your 2001 BMW 325Ci would be to have the brakes repaired and the battery replaced. Once you have your car back you will find out very quickly if the alternator is working or not. Letting a vehicle for a few months should not affect the alternator or create any leaks. If you do not trust the dealer perhaps you should get a second opinion before deciding on the alternator and leak repairs.

I have the same problem I changed 2 alternator in 3 weeks , and today my car died on my driveway. If you find what was the problem with your car, please let me know, i am desperate cause I spend a lot of money and the same problem is coming back over and over again. Please send me a mesage to simonamathe@yahoo.com. Thank you.
