Question: Told we need Full Throttle chamber assymbly, Versus just replacing the sensor

Engine is dying out on the road, when put on a computer to find out what is going on it comes up that the Excellorator sensor is going out, we were informed that we had to replace the whole throttle chamber assymbly. Cant the sensor just be replaced. Are we being whodoo'd?

    no this is the case. all manf. are making this part sold as an assembly. bite the bullet and getr done you have no choice. fords asm is approx 600.00 for the part iv heard
