I was told I need a Clutch & Coil (for the compressor)at a installed cost of $515.00. I was wondering if I should spend a $1,000 and replace the compressor and dryer too? I already have 175,000 on the compressor.

The car is 13 years old and has 175,000 miles so based on year and mileage you may want to replace the compressor at this time if you plan on keeping the car long term. If the air conditioning has been working well up to no and has not been allowed to be run low on charge refrigerant the drier should be fine.
Be careful when replacing the air conditioning compressor if you are using a rebuilt compressor, I have seen a lot of poor quality re-manufactured compressors.
