Question: To make sure how do you turn on the heater?

Just changed the thermostat and hose with flushing bubbles out. I get no heat, A/c works fine. So I'm trying to make sure I'm turning it on right. Just got the car.

    Make sure you have purged all of the air out of the cooling system.

    What was the original reason to replace the thermostat?
