The light malfunctioned a couple of years ago. Its a lousy system and I'd like to kill the warning light. Is there a fuse to pull or some other way to trun off the warning light?

There isn't a fuse to pull out to eliminate the system all together. Tire pressure monitoring systems were made mandatory not to save gas but due to the Ford Explorer roll over/Firestone tire law suits.
Any Toyota or Lexus with a full size spare also monitors the spare wheel so make sure the pressure is checked in the spare wheel if it a full size spare.
Tire pressure monitor reset procedures should be in your owners hand book if not you can get it for free at
