TIPM software update on Dodge Nitro R/T

has a jerking with acceleration different speeds different inclines will also occasional cause the check engine light to come on but get no codes when hooked up.
2007 Dodge Nitro R/T- 4.0L V6180,000
engine stalls sometimes when stopped or at low rpm. will sometimes have a hard miss while accelerating. miss is occasionally hard enough to cause major jerk of whole truck. have replaced coil packs, cam sensor, crank sensor, and truck spent 4 days in the dealership connected to a diagnostic machine while their techs conferred directly with Dodge. service engine light is on with code for pvc valve. no other codes showing and no solution either found or suggested by Dodge techs.
