hi, the Camry has 67,000 mi ,never tuned . I wanted to know if timing belt should be changed and does valve adjustment need to be done with that . Also is this an engine where water pump needs to be removed / changed too ? Or could I just get away with a tuneup - new plugs and wire set

Your Camry does not need a timing belt until at least 90,000 if not longer. Checking the valves by 60k is a good idea so your are over due for that. When you do that T-Belt, definitely replace the water pump as well. i would also do the cam and crank oil seals, the idler and tensioner. That way you are 'good to go' with no headaches for at least 90K. The thermostat is easy to change and by 90k it is due as well.
