My car is due for its 60000 mile maintenance. The dealership wants to replace the timing belt as part of this maintenance increasing the total maintenance from $400 to $1100. I have an additional platinum Kia warranty that covers my car until it has 95,000 miles or the year 2013. The timing belt is covered under that warranty. Can I have it replaced under the warranty if there is not a specific problem with it? If not, do I replace the timing belt as part of the maintenance for my car? If I don't and then have a problem with it, will the warranty be denied because I didn't have it done as part of routine maintenance? HELP!
