I replaced the timing belt after it striped, set all timing marks according to the Haynes manual. Now on start up it idles great, but when I accelerate, it begins surging around 3500 rpm, up and down to 4000 or so, and will not go past that point. I have gone back and checked and reset the timing 3 times now and the same result. Any Ideas what to do next?

You may have damaged the reluctor ring for the crank triggrt or damaged a cam sensor.Happens on the Dyno at work sometimes.
