2001 Toyota Sequoia Question: timing belt and waterpump replacment

 Rookie

since dealer recommends replacing botyh timing belt and water pump at the same time what would the combined replament price range

    Its about 5 hour labor operation plus the parts (water pump, crankshaft oil seal, both camshaft seals, antifreeze, tensioner, idler pulley, water pump, timing belt, perhaps fan belt). I believe there is a parts price estimate in the estimator link, add to the cost of the timing belt job about $120 for the water pump and .4 labor to replace whilst everything else is removed.

    Anywhere from 600 to 800 at the dealer maybe even more usually dealer charge arm,legs and organs i would suggest a local mechanic shop.
