Timing Belt on 2008 Hyundai Sonata

What does it cost to replace a timing belt on this vehicle?

belt 59 tensioner and pulleys 129 labor 3.2 hours Roy

The 2.4L 4 Cylinder engine on this vehicle is driven by a Timing Chain not a Belt. I'd say in parts you'll expend a little more and double the labor to replace it. Note that the Timing Chain is not a scheduled maintenance item.

So, a 2008, 2.4 cyl. Sonata has a timing chain rather than a belt? You're POSITIVE because someone else replied with figures for belt, tensioner, pulleys, and labor. Just checking because I use this car A LOT for work and have to be certain that it's working a-ok. Thanks!

Since 2006 both the 2.4L 4 Cylinder and 3.3L V6 have Timing Chains.
