Hi my timing belt need replacing.. and i was wondering (A) how hard would it be to do it my self and (b) how much would it cost for a car shop to do the fix?

MasterThe 3000GT is a difficult belt to change and on the 4 cam engine it easy to get the rear cam out of time. It is not a job to be taken on lightly at home.
Timing belt alone ( no seal replacement or water pump change is about a 5 hour job)
If you are feeling brave.
There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You get a one year subscription to year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual. http://www.alldatadiy.com/.Flag ThisLike | 2 people like this2 -

Masteri can provide you with some screen shots of step by step instructions for free at sinautoscan.com/forum just make a request for it and doing this in a shop is very expensive is a very long job about 5 Hours
