2006 Hyundai Santa Fe Q&A

2006 Hyundai Santa Fe Question: timing belt

If timing belt breaks, will it damages valves and other components, or will it just stop the car and belt replacement only? -
Answer 1
usually bends valves. sorry. very expensive repair. It is a 90k service. Did you ever have it changed? along with the belt, you change the water pump, t stat, pulleys and tensioners, and all the drive belts. there are cases when the valves do not bend. i would have a shop examine it to confirm.
