2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI Question: timing belt
Answer #1ZeeTech January 07, 2011, 10:55Master
The timing belt replacement interval is 80,000 miles on your Jetta TDI. It's an interference engine, so keep up with the timing belt (timing components!) services.

80K miles...Make sure you get the tensioner, idler pulleys, water pump and bolts changed at the same time. Also make sure you go to a place that has the proper lock out tools and VAGCOM to check timing after the service is complete.
