My '96 Lexus es 300 has 177,000 miles on it. We changed the water pump and timing belt at 90,000. Should we be changing the timing belt again? This is the best vehicle I have ever purchased and don't want ever to sell it but if I do, I'm getting another es300. My problem is that I can't see how fast I'm going since the lights behind the speedo are out. The needle works but I don't know how to get to the lights to change them. I'm assuming that one would have to go through the dashboard.

Somewhere around 100,000 miles for the belt - and might as well change the water pump while your at it. This is a good preventative maintenance thing to do. If you wait until you "need" to change the belt - it's to late.

As far as the light go to http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=86

This is a great Lexus forum they have step-step directions on how to change those lights.. I need to replace them too!
