Tie rods versus CV joint on 2001 Buick Century

I had my tie rods replaced, an alignment and wheel balancing. Several days later the car started to vibrate upon acceleration. Now the mechanic said it looks like the CV joint. Is this something that could have been affected when they replaced the tie rods?

To replace the tie rod ends and align the steering would not contribute in any way to wear in the CV joints. The parts are very close to each other but could not have been damaged due to careless workmanship.
