Usually tie rods are replaced by a shop or technician with the proper tools and equipment as sometimes it requires removal of the Rack and Pinion assembly you can find a shop here www.repairpal.com/directory

If you hear a popping, clunking, or snapping sound from the front of the vehicle after five miles of driving on smooth surfaces, the outer tie rod ends may be worn and require replacement.
