Question: Ticks when accelerating. Compression test at dealer shows I need a new engine??

Seriously...tick showed up a few days ago. Never been raced, in great shape, all original. New head earlier this year. Now they are telling me I need a new engine. Has 110,000 miles. Any suggestions? Thx.

    Sounds to me like you blew out your spark plug and you need to have it helecoiled and a new spark plug installed. Really don't think you need a motor at 110K, we can take care of that for you but would have to look at the vehicle to confirm the problem.
