Question: Throttle Actuator stuck closed

How do I fix this? I was runing low on gas, pulled in the gas station filled it up and car started and stalled and wont start again. A scan read Throttle Actuator stuck closed.

    Generally this means that the Actuator failed. If you take off the air intake boot and look inside, you may be able to, no guarantees here, free it up with a thin tool. But when I see this in the shop, this, in most cases, means that the ETC or Electronic Throttle Control is defective.

    I have the same problem with my 2005 toyota camry 2.4 L cylinder. Car only drives in 'limp home mode' - no acceleration. Was told by mechanic it needs new throttle body actuator - part alone is $900 from toyota. no recall, not under warranty.
