Usually Acuras are quite dependable, But this model has a timing belt and its due for replacement at 100,000 miles. I would call a few shops on our directory and ask them to perform a inspection of this vehicle before purchasing http://repairpal.com/directory?address=60639&car_brand_na... and you can check timing belt replacement cost here http://repairpal.com/estimator?car_type_id=3895

brace yourself for transmission problem past 125000 miles. My cousin is a Japanese car mechanic and he said that all Hondas become problematic with the tranny post 125K or 145K miles. My advise? Get a KIA or Hyundai used but with low miles that is equivalent in price. BTW< i drive a 2004 Acura TL with 176K miles on it. I bought it in 2004 with zero miles. I am finally getting my timing belt, pulley, water pump, 3rd set of brakes replaced at 176K miles. My tranny has problems after about 145K miles. Drivable but annoying. I also replaced my engine mounts and tranny mounts and the drive by wire controller.
