I just replaced mine in a 1998 Ford Ranger and it was really easy to do. I 've done them in the past a long time ago and I was about to take it to a Pep boys store because it was getting very cold here. After I got the price (about $135 ?) I decided to do it myself.Anyway, don't be intimidated, follow the upper radiator hose from the rad to the engine and you'll see the housing that is usually secured by two bolts. I didn't even remove the hose. I suctioned out some anti-freeze so I wouldn't spill any on the engine but I still lost a little. You may need an extension to get the socket to the bolt heads.
