Theft System Light on 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass

The theft system light comes on and the car will not start. It's been in the shop and no one knows what is going on with it.

The most common cause for the theft system light and a no start condition on your 1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass would be the ignition lock cylinder. The lock cylinder contains the theft system sensor. A faulty sensor is most likely causing you problem. There should be a fault code b2960 stored in the theft system. I hope this helps.
