The systems lights ( 3 of them ) come on when the key is turned to AUX on 1993 Chevrolet Lumina

the battery light, oil & coolant light come on when the key is turned to Aux but when I start the car all lights turn off and do not come back on, does that mean my car is ok ? I just want to know if there is something wrong with the car or engine will the light(s) come on and stay on even when I'm driving ?

The lights on all my previous cars did that, you don't need to worry unless they com on while driving. We have a 95 Lumina and the coolant light stays on all the time. I was told the sensors act crazy after certain amount of miles, ours has like 243978 on it so just take care of it and it should last

Thanks a lot for your response, it's pretty solid all around I just wanted to make sure because I love that car and it has been extremely good to me over the years ( It sounds like you know what I mean 200,000 + miles ?, NICE!) and I try to stay on top of fluid changes, Etc. so I hope to reach the mileage you have with it. Thanks again man.

Its doing what is called a bulb check. If the lights come on when you are driving then you have a problem.
