when driving down the road the engine does not get hot but when you stop in traffic the engine starts the heat up and the fan does not kick on to cool the engine back to normal temp but start driving and back to normal temp. could it be a fuse or thr fan relay.

The system has two electric fans,relays a control module resistor fuses ect...
You have to look at the wiring diagram and start logically testing the circuit. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
