1992 Honda Accord

 

Question: the only way my cooling fan goes on is when I turn on my air cond.new moter fan.

when i turn on the air both fans go on.when I turn off the air,neither one works,???confused,I took out the relay switch and the cooling fan goes off,but the air fan stayes on.?

    IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE RADIATOR FANS,THAT'S WHAT THEY SHOULD DO. IS CAR GETTING HOT?
    TRY LEAVING EVERYTHING OFF, START THE CAR AND LET IT RUN UNTIL IT STARTS TO GET HOT OR FANS COME ON
    THIS MAY TAKE 30 MIN. OR MORE. KEEP A CHECK ON TEMP. GAUGE AND DON'T LET IT GET "HOT". FANS RUN AS
    NEEDED AS ENGINE WARMS UP, AND WHEN AC IS TURNED ON TO REDUCE PRESSURE ON COMPRESSOR. IN ANY
    EVENT THEY SHOULD COME ON BEFOR ENG. GETS "HOT". IF NOT THEN START CHECKING OTHER STUFF.
    LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!

    Thank you for the info,after I changed the thermostat,I drove the car for about 25 min.put the car in driveway and waited after a few min.first the air cond fan came on then a few min later both came on,what a relief,there wasnt any presue in radiater,I dont know if by taking off the radiater cap to see if it was getting hot incase my gauge was bad,in about 10 sec.thats when they came on,on the link that I read before this one someone said that you need to purge the relief valve on radiater but I went to auto zone and they said that it was not shown for a 92 honda?so Im not sure if you need to bleed the radiater I know on a mercedies you do but a honda ????and if so where is the relief valve at on radiater,thank you for your info .
