The hybrid transmission may fail prematurely. Our technicians recommend changing the transmission fluid every 30K miles in order to help prolong transmission life. This service recommendation is over and above the Toyota recommendation to "check" the transmission fluid every 30k miles.

RookiePrius was towed to dealer, I was advised today that drive train and transmission needed replacing to the tune of $5500.00. Service Consultant stated that this is "uncommon".
