Question: The hood release handle is not working,is there another way to open hood

The hood release handle appears to be connected in the vehicle,so it must be disconnected at the hood latch.Is there another way to open the hood other than with the handle.

    take apart kick panel at handle and pull cable with pliers

    The handle and cable are connected,I have a feeling it is disconnected at the latch under hood.Is there a way to open hood other than the handle method.Thank for your consideration on this matter.David
