Question: The gears are stuck

we changed the key igniton cylender and now when we start the car the gears are stuck and it does'nt move

  it sounds like the cable to the shift lock that goes into the ignition switch is not installed correctly. Sounds like you need to take the ignition switch back out.

• transmission
  auto transmission will not up shift. slipped out of gear couple times , seamed to be fine after that . next morning know its like stuck in low gear .

• CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
  TOOK TO A MECHANIC, WAS TOLD TI IS THE TRANSMISSION. REFERED TO TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST. TOLD SAME, BUT WOULD NOT PUT IN WRITING SPECIFIC CODE PROBLEM OR REPAIR REQUIREMENT. I AM PUZZLED.
