Absolutely Horrible Service. I had my Subaru engine rebuild there. Half the engine was replaced as suggested by Peter because he claimed it would last another 100,000 miles. I got another 6 months out of it before it started having problems. Big problems. I had to have the engine rebuilt again because of a blown head gasket. While my new mechanic was taking it apart he found missing parts, wrong parts, and parts put back in the wrong place all over the engine. 6 months after that my car was in the shop again to fix more problems from Peter's rebuild. I've had to replace half the parts Peter put on. I've tried contacting Peter to get his side of the story multiple times and have not heard back.

I have been going to see Peter & Sylvia at the engine company for years. They've worked on 3 of my cars. Whatever I did to my car (and I did a lot) they were great allies to have. If I had some obscure problem or part or concern, they addressed it and they have long term relationships with so many different types of places, they take care of you, fast and solid. I know everyone that works there and they are all amazing, hardworking, extremely knowledgeable people. They will take care of you and work with you, keep you informed, and get you back on the road safely, quickly and reliably. They will become your friends, will explain everything to you, and you wont get frivolous work done like other shops. I wish I knew a Peter & Sylvia in EVERY industry, to repair every problem I had and help get me back safely in my car. I love cars and I love driving them, cheesy, but the Engine Company has saved my metal loved one after accidents, a semi truck tire, a meltdown, and just sheer bad luck. You have friends who fix cars, why go to some dirty shop for sub-standard work? You'll become a lifelong customer of the Engine Company like so many savvy Santa Barbarians have. Nothing else I can say other than I don't know what I would have done without them for the more than 10 years I have been taking my car to Peter & Sylvia!
