vehicle runs rough and misfires [timing issue] and loss pf power also excessive spark knock !! code p0021 told the dealer would like to shim i say no way cam controls major functions if there has been excessive play for any period of time the motor has already been damaged !!!

check engine light came on three times since 48000 miles, since I purchased this car,replaced sensor to gas tank for pressure, still came on, repaired wire to sensor, still came on, this time it said fuel leak, no fuel leak! they reset the light, a week later it came on again, it just so came on the same day I got a notice from On Star that my OnStar was not on. I chose not to use Onstar! Something Fishy here, Can Onstar make this check engine light come on When they want to. I give up! the engine check light is still on and the car runs fine.
