1993 Mercury Cougar Question: the car will not start

Kind of unclear about the statement, "there was no acceleration or power and it did not hesitation". Does this mean the car did not move at all? Or it did, with poor power? Did it rev, or just bog down? Without more information, a hunch leads me towards cylinder head gaskets, as they were extremely common failures on 93 3.8L Cougars.

With no power...and stumble/hesitation and now no restart... You say you verified fuel pressure, spark and compression? Might be an unmetered air leak to the engine, a vacuum leak... Still take an extra look at the head gaskets to make sure. Smell the coolant in the reservoir and see if it smells like exhaust fumes. Good luck.
