Question: the car sounds like it is not getting fuel and won't start.

I ran out of gas so I added fuel from a can so I could make it to the gas station.now the car wont start and it sounds like it is'nt getting any fuel. do I need to prime it?

    check the the hose that maintains the air/gas ratio in the engine, mine in my 94 dry rotted and i thought i ran out of gas, it was just the hose, try replacing it and it should start purring
