The rear shock absorbers (struts) do have a spring that must be compressed to remove it from the strut assembly.

If it's a job you were going to do yourself the rear seats need to come out to get axcess to the upper strut mounts. You could remove the struts yourself and get a tire shop to compress the springs and replace the struts and then reassemble everything yourself . There is a company that independent auto repair shops buy their information from that the same information inexpensively to do it yourselfers. The information is year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
