The Auto Shop
I have taken our vehs to the Auto shop since 1987. They do the work "Right" the first time and I know they are doing what needs to be done. All of my family has use them for many years and have clients that I have referred to them and never had a complaint. You can not find a better auto repair shop than the AUTO Shop.

A few days ago my 84 year old mother called me and let me know she was having electrical issue with her 2000 Mercury. It seems that every two or three days she would have a dead battery. Now she had taken it to two local garages, a son in law who managed a auto repair garage in another town and finally the local dealership. After all of them charged her labor fees for trouble shooting the issue none of them could find the problem.
I did a little research on the net and found The Auto Shop in Modesto, Ca. I went to the shop and spoke with them and found the staff to be very helpful and after meeting them I went and met with my mother and had her bring her car down for them to take a shot at trouble shooting the electrical issue.
After having the car for a day they contacted her with good news, they found the problem. After it was clearly explained to her she gave them the go ahead to do the repairs. Now she again had a good dependable car that she feels safe in.
She told me that the staff treated her with respect and was very courteous in explaining the steps they had taken to repair her car. The was the bill was more than fair when you consider what it must have taken when all of the other shops including her son in law could not find the problem. By the way there was an electrical short in the five button door unlock key pad located on the exterior of the drivers door. ( labor parts and out the door for about $300.00) I have done business with a lot of auto repair shops in the past, including my brother in laws shop and trust me the Auto Repair shop is the best I have ever done business with!!

I take both my American and my import car there. They have saved me a ton of money and painstakingly showed me how I had been misled by other car shops. I don't know that many people who would do that.
This place is one of the few truly honest mom-and-pop car shops out there, and they're so much friendlier than the usual corporate ones (although I used to have nice service at my out-of-business Saturn dealer).
I've been rubbed wrong by so many others I just had to drop a note here. Anyway...Go there. Quick, dependable, truthful. I don't know what else to say.

I drive my cars for a long time. My Explorer is 12 years old. My expertise is in other areas and need a mechanic who is patient, and can explain what is needed and why in easily understandable terms. I don't like to be rushed and like time to think about their suggestions. The mechanics at The Auto Shop have been fantastic. The evaluations are honest, service is efficient, and the cost is reasonable. I have total confidence in their judgement and will consult them when I'm ready to buy my next car.
