Question: test brake booster

to test the brake booster can u take the vaccum hose off from the brake booster and see if it release vaccum pressure?

    What makes you think you have a problem with the brake booster? If the diaphram inside the booster assembly was ruptured, the engine would barely, if at all, run at idle.

    mechnics have diagnosed my small vacuum noise, which disappears when I depress the brakes, to the booster. my engine idles smoothly, brakes smoothly, but I sense the loss of acceleration. booster?
