I have a 2002 dodge stratus i just had my heads reworked changed the water pump thermostat and got a new radiator my temperture gauge shows my car is running hot when i step on the gas or get up to 70mph the temp gauge goes up as soon as i come off the gas the temp gauge goes down to where it suppose to be and there are no coolant leaks visible could it be the sensor is messed up and reading wrong

i came on this site because i have the axact problem-i have an 02 stratus r/t that started overheating,i just changed the waterpump,head gasket,thermostat,valve job,heads done and even the radiator cap,i didnt do nothing to the radiator though but my needle is still rising uncomfortably high exactly like yours does whenever i give it gas to get going it starts getting hot im afraid to blow the head gasket, it costed about $2000 to fix all that stuff.if you find out whats causing this can you please post it,the mechanic doesnt seem to have any ansewers for me..

where is the heater flow valve located i dont think it is the thermostat or heater core
