Question: Temparature gauge remain on red

My car temperature gauge not working, when start the car it goes right away on RED and remain there.

    Replace the temp sensor, it is probably shorted out to the closed position and sending hot signal to the gauge. Try unplugging the sensor and then start the car see if the gauge stays on cold. If so you found the problem, but it may or may not set a code and turn on the check engine light. If so stop at local auto parts store ask them to reset it for you they will for free.
