There is no real test for this problem but the symptoms are very specific. Here they are - After driving a speeds above 45mph for at least 1/2 hour, when coming to a stop the engine will die (As if you were driving a manual transmission and did not push the clutch in - if that helps). After the engine dies it will restart easily in park or neutral but will die when put in drive. After about 20 minutes everything will be back to normal. If you are experiencing these symptoms with your 1995 Chevrolet Corsica and it has a 3 speed "3T40" transmission then chances are this could be your problem. 1995 is pretty new to have this problem but if you have the "3T40" transmission then I would not discount the possibility. If the TCC is sticking then the repair would be to replace the TCC solenoid and service the transmission (filter and fluid).
