Question: Tail Light not working

 Rookie

My tail light does not work. I replaced bulb already. The previous owner has already had the recalled brake light fixed. the brake and turn signal lights still work. Any ideas?

  The most common problem with the rear lights on the Trailblazers are faulty circuit boards which should have been replaced as part of the recall. There are separate fuses for the left and right tail lights. Check the rear fuse box, fuses 14 and 17. If they are OK then check the brown wire at the circuit board plug for power. If you have power there then the fault is with the board or the bulb. If the fuses are good and there is no power on the brown wire then there is fault between the fuse box and the plug at the tail light.

  I replaced the circuit board last year (2009). It has not been a year since I have rplaced it and it has gone out again. The light holds water. So I am constantly emptying the water from light thingy. What do I need to do?

  I had the same problem with the light holding water. I drilled 2 small holes in the bottom to the light housing to let the water drain out. The condensation caused the circuit board to rust at the plug. I had to replace the plug and the circuit board.
