Synthetic oil withstands heat better than conventional oil and doesn't break down as quickly as conventional motor oil hence the longer service intervals being recommended by many car manufacturers. Many oil change franchise facilities, any auto parts store, independent repair shops and dealership all stock synthetic motor oil. Check your owners manual for the recommended grade of oil.
