 Rookie

How often does the sway bar link need replaced? I just had it replaced 9 months ago, 9,000 miles ago and it already needs replaced. Is that normal?

    9,000 miles is way to soon to have the sway bar link replaced for a second time. If indeed it has failed again on your 1998 Toyota Corolla I would look very closely for something else causing it to fail.

    When was the last time you replaced your shocks? Bad shocks can cause premature failure if the correct parts were originally installed

    Wow, I'm not a mechanic but now way should it fail that quick. It should last at least 60k miles. the may have installed the link incorrectly.

    Do you remember where you purchased the parts that failed? What color were the bushings? I am interested as the same thing happened to my friend and he purchased a HD set of links.
