1998 Toyota Corolla Q&A
1998 Toyota Corolla Question: Sway bar link replacement
9,000 miles is way to soon to have the sway bar link replaced for a second time. If indeed it has failed again on your 1998 Toyota Corolla I would look very closely for something else causing it to fail. - Oakman
Wow, I'm not a mechanic but now way should it fail that quick. It should last at least 60k miles. the may have installed the link incorrectly. - Visitor
Do you remember where you purchased the parts that failed? What color were the bushings? I am interested as the same thing happened to my friend and he purchased a HD set of links. - Visitor
How often does a sway bar link have to be replaced? I had one replaced in 2007. The noise appears to be coming from the rear. I hear it when I go over bumps.
