2003 Volvo S60 Question: Sway bar bushings & cost to replace? It it really necessary to replace them.

MAST, 2.4L 5 Cylinder, Columbus, OH, January 26, 2012, 12:11

I was informed by Volvo that my sway bar bushings are plastic and getting worn and would need to be replaced at a cost of $650.00. Is it really necessary to have them replace and who is Columbus, Ohio besides Volvo would replace for a cheaper cost?

Ouch. I think this is because the bushings are part of the sway bar. I would get a second opinion. I suggest this shop: http://repairpal.com/eurowerks-garage
