Suzuki Verona Recall 05V507000
Potential Loss of Power Steering Assist
Suspension & Steering, December 1, 2005
RepairPal Expert Overview
Our Quick Take:
The power steering pump pulley may fail, causing the drive belt to come off. This would result in harder than normal steering and possible engine overheating and/or stalling.
What Should You Do?
Please contact your Suzuki dealer. They will check to see if your specific vehicle is affected and advise you on what to do next. Always have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy when you call.
The power steering pump pulley may separate from the pump due to inadequate wall thickness of the pulley. This could cause the drive belt to come off, resulting in heavier than normal steering and potential engine overheating and/or stalling. Dealers will inspect and replace the power steering pulley as necessary. This recall is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2005. The Suzuki recall number is KJ.
