Suzuki began in 1909 in Japan as Suzuki Loom Works, which manufactured weaving looms. Looking to expand business, Suzuki expanded into compact cars, but was halted during World War II due to passenger cars being "non-essential". Suzuki returned to manufacturing weaving looms during and after World War II until the cotton market collapsed in 1951. Suzuki no longer sells cars in North America.
Suzuki's most reported problem on RepairPal is associated with low beam headlights on some Suzuki Grand Vitara models.
