1999 Chevrolet Tracker Question: Suspension or steering

Question

Visitor, 2.0L 4 Cylinder, Arcadia, FL, December 28, 2010, 05:59

I have a "clunking" sound coming from the front passenger side. It is intermittent and happens mostly when driving around town, going over bumps and sometimes when turning.

What could be the problem?

have the crossmember checked. chevy will replace it due to a corrosion problem, depending on year, model and state you live in. mine is a 2002 in wisconsin. $1100 problem fixed for free
