2004 Lexus RX330

Question: super unleaded gas vs mid gread unleaded gas

Since my Rx330 is basically a Toyota. Why couldn't I use regular gas instead of super unleaded gas?

    To what fuel to use is depends on the design and the characteristic of the engine, not on the manufacturer. If you use regular you will probably experience pinging. Sometimes there is problem even with poor quality "premium" .

    I use only the best quality Regular Gas in my RX330 '04, and I don't get pinging. It seems to have adjusted, electronically speaking, to the lack of Octane. My mileage and performance is the same.
