  I took my 2000 Lexus RX300 in at 125,000 miles for timing belt, water pump, air filter, oil filter, and front and rear brakes, plus a few other items. I had heard great things about Sun Independent, but as a first time customer I was still a bit skeptical. My bottom line conclusion is that this was one terrific choice. After getting an initial bid for all that work when dropping the car off, a couple of hours later I got a call from Lawrence who I believe is the owner. He found that by checking a label that a Lexus dealership had put near the timing belt, I had already had the timing belt and water pump replaced at 90,000 miles. Not needing this work cut my estimate in half. Lawrence could have easily gone ahead and done the work and I would have never know I'd been ripped off. He was completely honest and saved me a ton of $$$. I was totally impressed, and I'll not only be back for future service, but I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend Sun Independent to a friend.

  This is the most satisfactory garage I've found in my life (of 73 years). I'm a retired mechanical engineer and medium fussy about quality of auto repair. Lawrence and Luis are VERY capable and, better yet, honest. It's a pleasure even knowing these guys. And Jeez, they're fast. I've had instances where the repair ws finished before the paperwork was complete.
