wondering why engine would just seize, could sugar have gotten past filters into the engine itself and make it seize or would someone have to pour it directly into oil well? what flines and pumps etc should be replaced before 3rd engine goes in!?

How many miles have you put on each engine? Why are they blowing up or seizing. The early CRV had a problem with the valves burning if the valves are not periodically adjusted. Regular engine oil changes every 3000 miles or so and those engine run for ever.
It is important to determine why this engine went out on you. Is a wrecking yard engine or rebuilt? For an engine to seize it must have lost lubrication (oil) or cooling (water/cooling system).
