Subaru Outback Recall 11V469000
Front Windshield Wipers May Stop Working
Components inside the front wiper motor cover may overheat. Loss of wiper operation and/or a fire may result.
Subaru will notify owners of affected vehicles during November, 2011. If you are experiencing problems with the front windshield wiper system, or you don't receive notification and you feel you should have, please contact your dealer. It's helpful to have your vehicle identification number (VIN) when you call.
Components inside the front wiper motor bottom cover may overheat. If the bottom cover overheats, the wipers may stop working, which can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash or fire. Dealers will replace the front wiper motor bottom cover assembly to correct this concern. The Subaru recall number is WVV-32.
